Donating bitcoin you've held more than a year directly to a 501(c)(3) is generally more tax-efficient than selling it first and giving the proceeds: you don't recognize the capital gain, and your deduction is based on fair market value. Gifts over $5,000 carry an additional appraisal requirement, and we're glad to walk you through it.

Tax status
Connecting Cats to Christ Inc is an Arizona nonprofit corporation, incorporated in August 2026. We are preparing our application for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and expect to file shortly. Until the IRS issues our determination letter, we can't represent that gifts are tax deductible. Please check with your own tax advisor.
