The church at Corinth had split itself into camps, each one arguing that its leader was the one who mattered. Paul's answer was blunt: the one who plants and the one who waters are doing a single job, not competing ones, and neither of them is responsible for what actually grows. The increase belongs to God.

When we started mapping out this campus, we saw the same picture Paul was describing. A lot of faithful people planting and watering the same field, in different corners, doing different parts of one work.

What was missing wasn’t another worker. It was a map.

Our role at C3:

We are not planting. We are not watering. That work belongs to the campus ministries and the churches, and they were doing it long before we got here.

Our job is smaller and simpler: help the planters and the waterers find the students, help the students find them, and give everyone somewhere to sit down together.

Because the growing was never ours to do. That part belongs to God alone.
